Tien Xuan Doe is Head of Research, Equities for GIC. He is co-head of the Global Income Equities team and a member of the teams running the Value, Inflation Protection, Large Stakes, CIO Top Up, and Sustainability portfolios. He is also a member of the Sustainability Committee and head of the Working Group raising “Red” or “Amber” flags against GIC’s investments due to ESG issues.
Tien joined GIC in 2006 and covered Telecoms, Utilities and Industrials for Asia Equity Research before joining the CIO Office, Equities as Head of Research in 2019. Before joining GIC, he worked for Alliance Capital Management and Morley Fund Management on the buy-side; JPMorgan/Jardine Fleming, Deutsche Morgan Grenfell, Kerry Securities and Barclays de Zoete Wedd on the sell-side; and for KPMG in audit and insolvency.
Tien holds a Master of Arts in Philosophy from King’s College, University of Cambridge. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
