Kau Yi Kang is Head of the Global Emerging Markets team in the Public Equities Department. In this role, Yi Kang leads a team investing in public equities in regions including Asia, Latin America, Middle East, and Eastern Europe. The team is based in Singapore and has a presence in New York. He is also involved in the department’s efforts to incorporate technology and data into the investment process.

Yi Kang joined GIC in 2003. He has had various roles in the Public Equities Department, working on quantitative equities, developed market equities, and emerging market equities.

Yi Kang holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Cornell University, and a Master in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School.
