Chan Hoe Yin is Director of the Finance Department. The department is responsible for managing GIC’s corporate revenue and expenditure, ensuring financial stewardship and reporting for the GIC group, managing financial operations for the GIC Group and providing finance business partnership to GIC departments.

Hoe Yin joined GIC in 1993 and has assumed a variety of responsibilities that include public and private market investment operations, external manager operations, private market accounting and operations, data and valuation, management reporting, portfolio rebalancing, performance measurement, financing, taxation, and corporate accounting. Before GIC, he worked as a management accountant at the Ministry of Finance (MOF) and as an auditor at Deloitte.

Hoe Yin holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from the National University of Singapore. He also holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in System Analysis & Design from Singapore Polytechnic and a Master of Business Administration (Banking & Finance) from Nanyang Technological University. He has attended the General Management Program at Harvard Business School.
