Kwong Hong Huat is Head of Asia Total Return, Public Equities at GIC. In this role, Hong Huat leads a team that invests in equities across the Asia Pacific region, with a core focus on Japan, Australia, and emerging markets Asia.

Hong Huat joined GIC in 2004. Hong Huat started his career at GIC in quantitative equities investing, before moving on to different teams within the Equities Department, covering Industrials in Europe, Emerging Markets and eventually the Asia Pacific region. Before joining GIC, he worked as a Software Engineer for 5 years.

Hong Huat holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Electronics Engineering) from the University of Tokyo. He also holds a Master of Science in Wealth Management from the Singapore Management University.
