Eric Wilmes serves as GIC’s President of the Americas. In this role, he oversees GIC’s investments and relationships for both public and private markets in the region. Mr. Wilmes is also Head of Private Equity in the Americas, responsible for Direct Investments, as well as Funds and Co-Investments in buyouts, growth, and special situations.
Mr. Wilmes joined GIC in 2011 and subsequently was its Head of Direct Investments in the Americas and co-chair of the global Healthcare Business Group. Earlier in his career, he was a private equity investor at Friedman, Fleischer & Lowe, Centre Partners, and Morgan Stanley Capital Partners.
Mr. Wilmes has served as a Director of a number of businesses, including UKG, Ultimate Software, Ancestry, Multiplan, Kronos, HUB International, PetSmart / Chewy, and American Seafoods.
Mr. Wilmes holds a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in Economics from Williams College, where he serves on the Non-Marketable Asset Advisory Committee.
